Requirements

A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline

Previous experience in a town planning role, ideally within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors

Strong understanding of Irish planning legislation, policy and development management processes

Experience preparing and coordinating planning applications and supporting documentation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and liaise effectively with clients, consultants and planning authorities

MRTPI, MIPI or working towards professional accreditation would be advantageousResponsibilities

Prepare, manage and coordinate planning applications for renewable energy and infrastructure projects

Undertake planning policy reviews, site appraisals and development feasibility assessments

Prepare planning statements, reports and supporting technical documentation

Liaise with local authorities, clients, environmental consultants and other project stakeholders

Support the delivery of renewable energy developments, including wind, solar and associated infrastructure

Monitor changes in planning legislation and policy, advising on their impact on projects

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects progress efficiently through the planning process
