Solution Architect / Lead Developer

We're looking for a solution architect / lead developer to design implementable solutions and lead a small engineering team from design to production. This is hands-on technical delivery, not advisory-only architecture.

What you'll do

• Own application, integration, data and security architecture.
• Translate business needs into executable backlogs and protect scope.
• Lead Agile refinement, estimates and technical risk management.
• Coach developers and review designs and code.
• Set engineering standards for testing, environments and releases.
• Maintain architecture artefacts: SAD, ADRs, diagrams and interface contracts.

What you bring

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ leading technical delivery.
• Proven delivery from design to production with a team.
• Azure or equivalent public cloud experience, including hybrid setups.
• Java or Python proficiency, with ability to review the other.
• CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Git, automated testing and infrastructure-as-code literacy.
• Security by Design: identity, secrets, least privilege, encryption, data protection.
• Dutch or French (native).
• English (C1), with clear, direct communication.

Nice to have

• Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305) or equivalent practical evidence.
• Docker and AKS / Kubernetes proficiency.
• Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, OpenTofu).
• Proficiency in both Java and Python.
• Belgian regulated or public‑sector delivery experience.
