Mendix Chapter Lead

About the role

Our client, a leading financial services organisation in Brussels, is looking for a hands‑on Mendix Lead to take ownership of their Mendix Chapter. You'll be replacing the current lead, with a handover period to get you up to speed.

This isn't a pure development role. You'll combine strong Mendix technical expertise with leadership, coaching and a business‑focused mindset, guiding a community of 7 to 8 developers across multiple scrum feature teams.

What you'll do

• Lead and coordinate the Mendix Chapter, building collaboration and consistency across teams
• Coach and support developers, growing Mendix expertise across the organisation
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex (2nd/3rd line) issues
• Liaise directly with Mendix Support when issues can't be resolved internally
• Promote good development practices and lifecycle management
• Advise stakeholders on when and how Mendix should be used, and the business value it creates
• Contribute hands‑on to development, from rapid prototypes to internal applications

What we're looking for

• Experience leading, coaching or coordinating developers (chapter lead, tech lead or similar)
• Experience with API integrations
• Solid understanding of development lifecycles and best practices
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent English plus French or Dutch (ideally both)

Nice to have

• Mendix certification
• Experience with on‑premises Mendix deployments
• Banking or financial services background
