Lead System Engineer

Function

Our client is looking for a skilled and driven Teamlead System Engineer to coordinate and support a technical team. In this role, you will take the lead in projects, guide colleagues through complex technical implementations, and step in hands‑on when needed. Your expertise ensures seamless execution of IT projects and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Team Coordination & Guidance

• Lead and support a team of IT professionals.
• Provide technical mentorship and assist in solving complex customer issues.

Installation & Configuration

• Install and configure IT systems, including hardware (PCs, servers, printers, firewalls) and software (MS Office, business applications).
• Troubleshoot technical problems and ensure a secure and efficient IT infrastructure.

Security & Support

• Implement and configure firewalls and other security tools.
• Advise customers on IT security best practices.
• Handle technical and functional inquiries related to both hardware and software.
• Maintain expertise in networking and security.

Customer Support & Training

• Train customers in system usage.
• Ensure proactive follow‑up and support after implementations.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers and collaborate internally with other teams.

Profile

• A technical IT education with/or a strong IT background (hardware & software).
• Experience as a team leader or coordinator.
• Up-to-date knowledge of IT tools, systems, and security solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with firewall, security tools, and hardware installations.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and French.
• A customer‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Leadership skills to motivate, guide, and coordinate a team.
• Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear solutions.
• Resilient, eager to learn, and takes initiative.
