  • Provide practical advice on project financial management and ERM Finance processes.
  • Proactively identify financial risks and discuss appropriate actions with Project Managers.
  • Challenge project teams constructively where financial performance or project setup requires attention.

Project Financial Management

  • Monitor project financial performance, including revenue, costs, profitability, WIP, AR and project forecasts.
  • Support Project Managers with project reviews and financial planning.
  • Review project financial data and identify unusual developments, risks or opportunities.
  • Support appropriate project setup, maintenance and closure throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Help ensure project budgets and financial structures are aligned with contractual arrangements.

Billing & O2C

  • Partner with Project Managers and centralized operational teams to support timely and accurate billing.
  • Help resolve complex billing and project-related issues.
  • Support teams in understanding contractual billing requirements, including client-specific requirements.
  • Monitor outstanding financial matters and support timely resolution of issues affecting invoicing, cash collection or project closure.
  • Act as an escalation and coordination point for more complex O2C topics.

Governance & Compliance

  • Support compliance with ERM policies, contractual requirements and local German requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate financial documentation and audit trails are maintained.
  • Work closely with relevant teams such as Tax, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Pricing, Revenue, Finance Operations and other specialist teams where required.
  • Support consistent global processes while recognizing situations where German legal, tax or business requirements require specific treatment.

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of ERMโ€™s new global O2C model.
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities for simplification or automation.
  • Help Project Managers adopt new Finance processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Share feedback from the German business with regional and global process teams.
  • Contribute to training, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the Finance community.

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree or professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in project finance, project controlling, commercial finance or financial business partnering.
  • Strong understanding of project financial management and the Order-to-Cash lifecycle.
  • Ability to interpret financial information and translate it into clear, practical advice for non-finance colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders constructively.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work in a changing, international environment.
  • Good understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ERP/project management and reporting systems is an advantage.
  • Fluent German and strong English skills.
