Research Scientist in Analytical Chemistry and Mass Spectrometry
You will join a team of highly skilled scientists and engineers and have the opportunity to work across diverse research areas including the green shift, carbon capture, emission monitoring, health, nanomedicine, food/feed, material and mineral characterization, process development and industrial measurements. We operate a modern and diverse platform with analytical instrumentation such as LC-MS/MS, GC-FID and GC-MS/MS, ICP-MS including LA-ICP-MS, SEC-MALLS, FFF, and high-resolution and other advanced mass spectrometers (HRMS/FTICR, QTOF, CDMS) with different sample introduction and ionisation capabilities. Our aim is to be a leading R&D partner in physico-chemical characterization and advanced organic and inorganic analysis in Europe.
**Responsibilities**:
Contribute to research and development projects in collaboration with scientists, engineers, and industry partners.
Plan, perform, and report experiments
Develop advanced analytical workflows - from sample preparation to instrument methods
Handle, visualize, and interpret analytical data
Generate research projects, write proposals, and contribute to project management.
Support other researchers and industry partners on how to use analytical chemistry to solve scientific challenges.
Dissemination of research findings in scientific publications and to the public
**Who we are looking for**:

**Qualifications**:
Competence and experience in mass spectrometry, and chromatographic and other separation techniques, such as GC, HPLC, IC, SEC and FFF.
Experience in high-resolution mass spectrometry (QTOF, Orbitrap, FTICR) and GC-MS is an advantage
Strong knowledge of method development
Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
Strong knowledge of analytical data processing, handling, and interpretation.
Excellent communication skills in English, and - preferably - in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language. We offer Norwegian courses for non-Norwegian speaking employees.
