**- Assignment Description**
The Client is on the lookout for a dynamic and motivated Laboratory Technician to assist with a range of daily tasks essential to the smooth running of our laboratory. We welcome applicants who bring energy, enthusiasm, and a keen eye for detail to our team. The expected main tasks are:
- Routine preventive maintenance of instruments.
- Register samples in LIMS data management system.
- Analyzing samples.
- Preparing solutions for instrument calibration.
- Calibrating "light" instruments - PH meters, conductivity meter, GC, alkalinity, TIC, etc.
- Maintain laboratory housekeeping and washing glassware using laboratory dishwashers and ensuring all items are properly dried and stored.
- Emptying and washing sample bottles, putting out clean bottles for sampling.
- Monitoring the ordering of chemicals and equipment.
- Sorting and disposing of lab waste.
- Replacing gas cylinders.
- Gas sampling (preparation, execution, storage, registration in LIMS, dilution).
**- Qualifications**
- Laboratory Technician degree or similar certification.
- Understanding of monitoring technologies and quality assurance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal.
- Experience with programming tools.
