Job Description

Researcher - Functional Precision Oncology and Drug Resistance in Colorectal Cancer
- Department of Molecular Oncology, Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital- (in new tab)
- About the position
**About the Project**:
The project aims to uncover molecular mechanisms underlying intrinsic and acquired resistance to colorectal cancer therapy and to develop combination strategies that can overcome resistance and improve treatment outcomes for patients with metastatic disease.
The work builds on functional and molecular data generated from a living biobank of more than 400 patient-derived tumor organoids and corresponding tumor tissue samples, representing key molecular subgroups of colorectal cancer. By integrating cell-based modeling, drug screening, and comprehensive multi-omics profiling (genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and single-cell analyses), the project seeks to identify new therapeutic vulnerabilities that arise during treatment pressure.Key information
