Job Description

Mechanical Commissioning Engineer - Data Centre

Denmark | Permanent | Up to €100,000

A major international engineering contractor is looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join a large-scale data centre project in Denmark.

This is a hands-on commissioning role for someone who wants to be on site, close to the systems and involved in taking complex mechanical infrastructure from installation through testing, commissioning and handover.

With 5+ years of secured project work,

this is a genuine long-term opportunity rather than a short-term project.

What You'll Be Doing

Deliver mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities

Review IFC drawings, specifications and technical submittals

Support commissioning plans, methodologies and sequencing

Coordinate with package engineers, planners, vendors and site teams

Prepare and review checklists, scripts and test packs

Witness functional testing and verify system performance

Lead/support walkdowns, tag walks and inspections

Track commissioning progress, snags and close-out

Support system handover, O&M documentation and client training

Identify issues early and escalate commissioning risks

What We're Looking For

Mechanical commissioning experience within complex construction projects

Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, LTHW, ventilation and pressurisation systems

Understanding of commissioning processes, sequencing and system interfaces

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based environment

Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple disciplines

A practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail

Data centre experience is a major advantage, but strong mechanical commissioning experience from other mission-critical or technically complex environments will be considered.
