Location: Europe – Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Sweden, Austria and surrounding countries

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Rotation: 3 Weeks On / 1 Week Off

Working Hours: 48 Hours Per Week

Travel: Paid travel between European project locations

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established and growing engineering services contractor delivering major Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) installation projects across Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with experience in M&E installations, particularly within Data Centres, Industrial, Pharmaceutical or Large-Scale Commercial environments.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Candidates must be happy to travel across Europe, including Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden and Austria, working on a 3-week-on, 1-week-off rotation.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily management and coordination of M&E installation activities, including site teams, supervisors and subcontractors.

Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety regulations, RAMS, quality standards and project specifications.

Monitor project programmes, manage resources and coordinate labour, materials and equipment to ensure efficient delivery.

Conduct site inspections, inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings, maintaining high standards of site safety.

Maintain accurate site documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, quality records and labour allocation.

Liaise with clients, main contractors and senior management, providing regular updates on project progress, risks and performance.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience within M&E installations, ideally in a Site Management position.

Previous experience working on Data Centres, Industrial, Pharmaceutical or Large-Scale Commercial projects.

SMSTS or equivalent, relevant CSCS/ECS or European certification, and First Aid qualification.

Strong understanding of M&E installation processes, Health & Safety legislation, RAMS and QA/QC procedures.

Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams.

Willingness to travel internationally and work a 3:1 rotation.

Additional qualifications such as MEWP, HV/LV awareness or Project Management certifications would be advantageous. Previous experience working on European construction projects would also be beneficial.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a proactive, confident and organised Site Manager who has a strong background in Mechanical and Electrical installations.

You will be comfortable managing site teams, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills, a hands-on approach and the ability to adapt to different European project environments are essential.
